A few isolated storms today – 8/10/18

TODAY: We kick off the morning with plenty of sunshine, with just a few isolated clouds building by your lunch hour. Between 12-3PM, a few isolated showers and storms will likely develop, but it shouldn’t be anything to slow down traffic or wash out the afternoon. Storms today will stay below severe limits, a nice change of pace from earlier in the week. Highs warm to the 70s in the mountains, and 80s in the lower elevations.

TONIGHT: We will be mostly clear tonight and lows cool to the 40s and 50s. Temperatures will be near 60 the further east you head in the lower terrain.

EXTENDED: The weekend looks beautiful! Lots of sun is expected with seasonable temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Places through the Arkansas River Valley and over the Plains will likely feel highs touch the low 90s. Rain and storms hold off until next Tuesday. At this point, our attention turns to watching the potential for severe weather.
