Teller County Sheriff’s Office identifies 5 arrested in Wednesday’s drug raids
Five people were taken into custody after Teller County deputies raided multiple illegal marijuana grow operations Wednesday near Divide and Woodland Park, and their identities were released Friday.
According to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, Alejandra Farinas, Alexis Fernandez, David Benitez, Yoandy Ramos-Diaz, and Jaime Costa were booked for offenses related to marijuana. Their dates of birth weren’t given.
The sheriff’s office says all five were released on $50,000 bond each.
Officers said they seized more than 80 pounds of processed marijuana packaged for shipping, a little over a hundred plants, and marijuana concentrate. Police say they believe the grow operations were connected and part of a larger organization to ship marijuana outside of Colorado.
KRDO was with the deputies as they conducted the raids . It’s part of the county’s initiative to crackdown on illegal grows.
