Explosives found in residential area near Bonfoy Ave. and E. St. Vrain St.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Tuesday, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call of explosives in a residential area near Boyfoy Ave. and E. St. Vrain St., at 10:30 a.m.
The Regional Explosives Unit responded and took over the investigation.
During the investigation, law enforcement personnel determined the explosives were real and military-grade.
The Fort Carson 71st EOD Unit has been contacted.
Police say the device was taken to Fort Carson for proper disposal.
There is no threat to the public.
